Your chance to win a Factory supported Supersport ride at BSB

Race the Triumph Triple Challenge for as little as £1068 per round!

Introduction

The TTC enters its eighth year following it most successful season on record.  Thank you Triumph and the new Daytona 675R!  There is no doubt that the Triumph Triple Challenge (TTC) represents the most competitive one-make championship at national level, but that doesn’t mean that you have to be ultra-competitive to take part. We have riders join us for all sorts of reasons, below are just some of them.

Firstly, we have riders that are looking to reignite their careers by performing well in front of the major BSB team managers.  These riders provide an invaluable service to the championship by becoming the pace setters. After all, if you really want to make it in this competitive sport then you need to measure yourself against (and learn from) those that can set a National Championship winning pace.  These riders are allowed in to the series on the clear understanding they will help riders looking to establish themselves.
Secondly, we have riders who have no aspiration to win a championship, they have families, businesses or busy jobs and simply come along because they love racing in front of the crowds and enjoy the fact that much of the organisation is done for them. These guys provide a lot of support to the younger riders (some have even been known to sponsor them!) and are often the first to chip in and help out.

Last but not least, we have younger riders aiming to establish themselves at British Championship level; for these guys we provide an unprecedented level of support.  We don’t just offer help with finding the right set-up or how to get the best from your bike, but also give advice on subjects such as PR, media and seeking sponsorship, with the aim of giving riders a far greater understanding of what is needed to succeed.  Support is a keyword in the TTC, you’re not just a rider, you’re our future and we don’t forget that.

The Team

The TTC has workshops based in Wrotham, Kent, where the bikes are delivered direct from the factory and partially prepared by our resident engineer Dave Harris.  Engines are sealed to negate tampering, footrests and suspension changed and then the bikes are run in and power checked on our dyno.  Once completed, the bike will be ready to be picked up along with the parts supplied for the series for you to finish fitting.  This way you get an opportunity to check over your bike and get to know a little about it before you go testing.

Jean based in our office looks after the administration of your accounts and Lee completes any parts orders you may have in between rounds.  At each event we carry approximately £84,000 in spares including engines to ensure to the best of our ability you keep racing, no matter what.  In addition to that, Triumph UK provides an unbeatable 50% off your O/E spares whilst we ensure you get a great discount on every non Triumph part you will need to get you through the season.

Each year a rider is appointed as your rider’s representative and is there to handle any issues you might have either at, or in between, rounds.  Dave Harris & Josh Doorne are at events to assist you with any concerns about your bike that you might have.
An appointed resident suspension engineer is available from the Friday practice right through the weekend; his set-up services are free of charge and totally invaluable.

Finally we have Paul; he is the series director at race weekends and is there to help you with any issues as is your rider representative.  They will ensure you are kept up to date with bulletins or any changes to schedules etc.

The Series

The Triumph Triple Challenge will run as a support class at nine rounds of the prestigious British Superbike Championship, with (New for 2014) 2/4 races per round.  With 20 races in total, plus qualifying and Friday practice, the series offers as much track time as National Superstock and represents great value.  Add the bonus of an unrivalled support structure, two opportunities to race each weekend and no minimum qualification time, and you are virtually guaranteed a great weekend of racing every time.

Much like British Supersport, the main Triple Challenge Championship has a sub class within it called the Cup, which is aimed at new riders coming to learn their craft with the support of the TTC and its more senior competitors.  Cup riders have their own trophies and podiums at the end of each race and their own championship prizes. Details on the qualification level for Cup riders can be found later in this document.

Presentation

The Triple Challenge village features a purpose built areas for you to prepare your bikes. This frontage puts you right in the view of the general public and those potential sponsors who visit BSB.

The TTC village gives each rider a 3m x 3m working area and includes the allocation of a table and Teng tool box. It also includes a hospitality area for your guests with tea, coffee and soft drinks supplied. Once again great added value that helps you look as professional as possible without spending a fortune. We can only accommodate ten riders and therefore your place must be pre-booked. All other riders will be located in their own awnings close by. Again for 2014, with the exception of belly pan stickers and placements of primary sponsor logos around the screen area, the livery on the your bike will be open, if you run your own livery we will only have white units available, which you will have to have painted.

Public Relations

The series has its own PR representative Rebecca who handles all updates to the TTC website and produces the weekend race reports. She also ensures these are posted to the series Facebook and Twitter pages as well as the TTC site and relevant media. The TTC website has its own blog section for riders and they are actively encouraged to join in and post their own race reports and thoughts.  We also have our own forum thread on 675cc.com.  All rounds are televised via British Eurosport and shown either live or pre-recorded as part of the BSB highlights programme. New for 2014 will HD TV coverage on all live and highlight programmes.
In addition to the above we have frequent visits from journalists, who come to experience the Championship for their readers using one of the dedicated press bikes.  These great features don’t just focus on the series; they look closely at the riders and often carry quite in depth features on those with a story to tell.

Prizes

There is an overall prize for the Championship winner as well as round by round prizes for the Cup Championship.  The main prize is a factory supported ride with T3 Racing in either the Supersport Cup or Superstock 600, depending upon which category the rider is eligible for.  In either instance, T3 Racing will provide a bike to the Championship specification, as well as entry fees fuel and half of your weekend allocation of tyres.  We will also provide the infrastructure and a mechanic.  All consumables and engine refreshes are included along with £2000.00 worth of cost price crash repairs.

At each round Cup championship riders can win a set of Pirelli series tyres to the winner, a front for second place and a rear for third.*

Eligible Machines

All Triumph Daytona 675’s are eligible for entry in to the series for 2014.  Any bike entered must be checked at the T3 premises for power and conformity before it will be allowed to race. How does the TTC compare to club racing?

Very favourably!

To purchase, maintain and race a second-hand race bike for one season, excluding fuel and living costs, we estimate you spend approximately £16,000 per season.  This increases considerably if you buy and convert a new bike to race spec.

–          A brand new Daytona 675R converted to race specification*

–          Services of a suspension engineer at every round

–          Discounted parts and race accessories

–          Parts supply at every round, including technical support

–          Use of TTC village race prep area and hospitality facilities

–          20 races in front of the BSB crowds

–          British Eurosport live coverage on selected races, highlight program on the remainder

–          A TTC website and forum dedicated to TTC riders

–          The camaraderie, support and advice of the Triple Challenge paddock
