Triumph Triple Challenge determined to find next British Champion

There can be no doubt that the Triumph Triple Challenge (TTC) represents one of the most competitive one-make series at British Championships.  Backed by Triumph and tasked with finding and developing aspiring talent, the TTC is recognised by MSVR as a key feeder series to the prestigious British Superbike and British Supersport championships.
The Triple Challenge runs as a support class at nine rounds of the prestigious British Superbike Championship and for 2012 will sport a brand new look in the paddock.  The new Triple Challenge village will feature areas for race bike preparation, rider hospitality and display.  This, along with live TV coverage as part of Eurosport’s BSB programming, gives both the series and the riders – and their sponsors – maximum exposure.
As well as competing on the track riders are encouraged to develop their skills further via the Triumph Triple Challenge Academy.  Staged at various weekends through the season, the Academy covers numerous aspects related to racing including PR & sponsorship, race craft, suspension set up, fitness and diet – all subjects which are important to any rider wishing to develop their career
The Triple Challenge is open to all ages, with two age groups (16 – 31 and 32+) each competing for their own championship and podium positions.  For 2012 a new Rookie Cup will also be added, open to all riders – regardless of age – new to national racing and the TTC.  The winner of the 16 – 31 class will go on to a supported Junior Superstock or Supersport Cup ride in 2013, depending on their age.
So if you sign up what do you get? For just £13,332 (+VAT) you will receive a race-prepared Triumph Daytona 675, entry fees to all nine-rounds (2 races per round), free support on suspension set-up and technical assistance.   Plus all the riders in the Championship will be given the opportunity to be housed in the new Triumph Village on selected weekends.  The Village will be in the main public area of the paddock at each event, encouraging fans to get closer to and follow the TTC.
Triumph is keen to use the Triple Challenge to assist its dealer, so if your budget is a bit tight, a dealer supported ride could see you on the grid for as little as £ 10,415 (+VAT) all inclusive of bike, entry fees and the full support of the series.
If you are interested in getting involved with the most successful one make championship at this level which is offering supported rides at BSB then call Tony Scott at T3 Racing on 07870 656920.
*The age limits apply as of the start of the respective season.

Format: The series will continue with the age groups of riders being split in to two. All bikes will carry the same livery in 2012 although riders 32 years of age and over will be placed in the TGW Cup and carry yellow number boards, those aged 16-31 will carry white. * all age groups are as of April 1st of the applicable season.  Podium positions will be awarded to each championship.

Racing: The weekend format will comprise of one Friday practice session, Saturday will be one qualifying followed by one race, Sunday will be warm up followed by one race.

Presentation: All riders will be given the opportunity to be housed under the series awnings. Your bikes will be required to remain there from when all racing begins to when it ends, unless major repair is required when the rider will expected to use their own facility if the work is likely to be messy. A tool box will be supplied which must be returned at the end of the season in a presentable condition.

Spares: A full complement of spares will be at each event and available from 8.30am to 7.30pm. Riders are reminded that any part fitted to the series bike must be supplied via T3 Racing. Any rider requiring the use of a spare engine will be charged at £75.00 per day for its use.

Technical advice: Our own technicians will be onsite all weekend to give advice on any technical issues.

Academy: Riders have the option of attending the Academy workshops.

Tyres: Tyres are no longer included in the costs of the championship for 2012 unless you specify option one, as the price is set by Pirelli Metzeler and there is no advantage for a bulk purchase.  Thus rather than add a season’s worth of tyres as an upfront cost to the Championship we feel it would be easier on the rider’s cash flow for them to buy tyres and when required.  Tyres usage however is restricted to two front and two rear tyres per round. This will be policed by way of tyre control numbers. The control tyre for the series will be the Metzler Interact

Race Entry fees: These are paid within your entry fee to the series. We are now reserving numbers for the season at www.bsbteams.com. These can’t be reserved over the phone as they will form part of the entry information that is required to organise your permanent passes. (Photographs of each team member will be required).

TV: Please refer to theTV page for schedules.

Series leader: The series leader for each round will be required to use an alternatively coloured rear seat unit to identify them as the series leader.

Payments: Parts used at each event may be placed on an invoice which must be settled within 14 days of the event they were acquired on or the Friday before the next event, whichever is the sooner. Tyre control numbers will not be issued to riders whose accounts are not up to date.
